Situated in one of the greatest cities in the world always has its perks, however at Glaziers Hall the festive season is our favourite time of year to enjoy London. With just a month to today, the countdown to Christmas is definitely in full swing with festive pop-ups and events across the city.

If you’re visiting us for an event this December, why not checkout our top recommendations in SE1 and the surrounding area (and the best bit, they are all free):

London Bridge City Christmas Market – 30th November – 3rd January

Just a few minutes walk from Glaziers Hall you’ll find yourself in More London’s Christmas Market. Packed with stalls all in German-style chalets selling a range of goods and foods, this is a great place to find the perfect gift for your loved ones. Make sure you also take the time to enjoy the range of festive food stalls on offer whilst enjoying entertainment including live music and film screenings.

Borough Market – An Evening of Cheese 14th of December

Perfecting your Christmas Day cheeseboard is no easy task, fortunately our friends at Borough Market are here to lend a helping hand. Join over 20 of the markets Cheesemongers to celebrate an evening of everything fromage. An opportunity to learn, to taste and to purchase – this is not one to be missed!

Bankside Winter Festival – 4th December

We love working in Bankside so an event celebrating it’s rich history and cultural diversity is one we’ll be sure to attend. Hosted in Borough Market the day will be filled with music, dance and arts and crafts alongside a visit from Santa and his Elves and a Nativity scene.

Flat Iron Square – Open Daily

Currently a hidden gem, Flat Iron Square has only been open for a few weeks but it’s already become a firm favourite. Open for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Late night drinks, this new space close to London Bridge Station always has something going on. Alongside refreshments you’ll be able to find comedy, music, craft (including a Christmas Wreath making course on the 1st of December) and even a Flea Market every Sunday.

Southbank Centre Winter Festival – 11th November – 8th January

It’s back and it’s bigger than ever. The Southbank Centre Winter Festival is a annual commitment in our festive diaries. Alongside the wide range of food and drink options there are also some fantastic shows, making this an excellent choice for all the family.
