Our History

The original Glaziers Hall in Fye Foot Lane was destroyed during the Great Fire of London in 1666 and was not relocated for another 300 years. Its current home, which was built in 1808, adjoins London Bridge and the so-called 'Nancy Steps' made famous by Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist. Today, Glaziers Hall is still home to three prestigious livery companies; The Worshipful Company of Glaziers, The Worshipful Company of Scientific Instrument Makers and The Worshipful Company of Launderers.

"Just to let you know that we were really impressed with the service we received for our event. Several people have mentioned how organised you were as a venue, and our event manager was brilliant support and very helpful.”

We were thrilled to be able to host our annual trade tasting at Glaziers Hall again this year, in the River Room. This venue is ideal for a wine tasting – very air & spacious, with plenty of natural light, and a great view onto the Thames. The Glaziers team were extremely helpful in the leadup to the event and on the day, nothing was too much trouble. We were impressed with the way they communicated and handled the covid-19 protocols this year, enabling us to provide a safe environment for our guests & helpers.
