Kicking off London’s spring sporting calendar, the famous University Boat Race brought over 300,000 spectators to cheer on Oxford and Cambridge. This weekend the capital is preparing for its largest charitable running activity, the London Marathon.

At Glaziers Hall, planning and executing briefs for the sport industry is a favourite of ours; the excitement, suspense and sense of team spirit is hard to rival. In recent years, we’ve had the opportunity to host multiple projects from across the sector.

Exhibitions event

During the 2012 Olympics the ultimate sporting circus, Glaziers Hall was the prestigious House of Switzerland, a hub that provided an opportunity for the Olympic Team to have a base and for Switzerland to showcase the best of itself. Open for over 6 weeks, we created a multi venue event welcoming 300,000 people with pop-up restaurants from Mosimanns, an activity park, daily concerts and medal ceremonies for Roger Federer and Stan Wawrinka.

Press Launches

We understand promotion and communication are vital before any game day, match or race. With a stunning backdrop for filming and productions, our venue has welcomed SKY Sports for press days and launches. Highlights included welcoming Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing and recently Ultimate Fighting Championship for the athlete’s media day ahead of the O2 showdown.

Our flexible events spaces have capacity for up to 600 standing, perfect for large scale projects. Our River Room, with panoramic views of the City and river, hosts networking evenings, product launches, interviews and panel talks for client including Women in Sport.

Dinners and Panel Shows

The 2015 Rugby World Cup brought the world’s best players to London and the buzz throughout the city was undeniable. During the competition, Glaziers Hall welcomed The Guardian’s Preview Rugby Dinner which utilised our spacious Banqueting Hall to display rugby memorabilia including a photoshoot for the Webb-Ellis Cup, rugby’s ultimate prize and a private screening.

The ultimate sports pub quiz, hosted by the brilliant Centrepoint was a fundraising success using the full venue for a starstudded gala evening.
