How do you know if an historic event in London is suitable for corporate functions?

At first glance, historic venues may not be the most obvious choice for mid to large-scale corporate events. While they may be beautiful and full of character, event planners can dismiss them for the challenges they assume they will encounter in these spaces.

We’re here to address some of those concerns.

For a seamless corporate event, you will need dependable AV equipment, strong Wi-Fi connectivity, good air circulation, flexible layouts, a space that works hard behind the scenes, good quality catering and a team that you can rely on.

So, how do you know if you’re found the right venue for you?
Read on to find out.

Looks Can Be Deceiving

Glaziers Hall is Grade II listed, full of history and nestled between London Bridge and the River Thames along the Southbank. Behind the vaulted ceilings and period features, the infrastructure is anything but old-fashioned.

Think 10k projectors, Bose speaker systems, HDMI capability and 1 gigabit fibre-optic internet with 4G backup. Every detail that may be needed for a modern corporate event has been considered.

AV Equipment Matters

The best functions fall flat if delegates can’t see the slides or hear the keynote speaker. You don’t want to manage downtime as well as everything else you will have to deal with. Sound quality and screen visibility are non-negotiables.

If you need to livestream sessions or bring in a virtual keynote speaker from the other side of the world, you need to make sure the infrastructure is in place to support it.

With seven flexible spaces at Glaziers Hall, each of them benefits from high-speed Wi-Fi as standard and a dedicated, brand-named network. From a simple Facebook Live feed to a multi-camera interactive broadcast, our team can tailor it to your brief and budget.

Our in-house AV partners, GB Audio, can also provide LED walls, light boxes and any extras you might need to create a high impact experience or immersive breakout space for capturing content.

We’ve made sure that our historic walls are wired for the future.

Fresh Air and Focus

Air quality and comfort has been a hot topic in recent years.

At Glaziers Hall we’ve installed air filtration systems throughout the building, circulating fresh air and offering peace of mind for planners and attendees alike. We’ve also replaced our traditional gas boilers with energy-efficient heat pumps, which also keeps the venue cool during those unexpectedly hot days.

It’s part of our commitment to making our venue more sustainable and plays a big part in our plans for the future too. If you want to deliver events that meet with your green credentials and approach to reducing your impact on the planet, let us know.

There are ways in which we can support with that.

Flexible Layouts

Corporate events come in all shapes and sizes: strategy sessions, product launches, AGMs and press briefings. Sometimes you need theatre-style seating at 9am, a cabaret setup at 1pm and a drinks reception at 6pm.

Our spaces are designed with this kind of flexibility in mind. Thanks to the compact size of our AV equipment in the Bridge Room and Thames Room, there’s no trade-off between tech and space. Layouts can be adapted without compromising on quality.

Choosing a Venue

The team at Glaziers Hall are here to support you through the event planning process, right from the first session to come up with ideas to the last session to review feedback. They know our building inside and out, which allows them to spot issues before they arise, suggesting alternatives and helping you get the most out of each space.

We don’t expect you to know exactly what mic’ to request or how to frame your lighting. That’s what we’re here for. Ask questions, throw out ideas and we’ll build your next corporate event with you.

So… Is a Historic Venue Right for you?

If it has:

  • Cutting-edge AV equipment with a tech team on-hand.
  • Flexible layouts that shift with your agenda.
  • Strong and scalable internet connectivity.
  • Event planning support behind the scenes.
  • On-site catering partners to create delicious dishes.
  • A venue that continues to invest to deliver the latest facilities for corporate clients.

Then yes, absolutely.
