8 reasons you should visit Glaziers Hall very soon

We have been fully open now for a few months and it is great to see people coming through the doors again. Whether they are absolutely in work mode (for a conference or a strategic planning meeting), or in complete enjoyment mode (for a dinner event or a drinks reception), we are loving seeing the Hall buzzing with life again.  Obviously we would love to see you very soon, but let us give you some of the reasons you should visit Glaziers Hall very soon.

1. See our 7 unique spaces

Since the £2.5m refurbishment in 2018, we have a room suitable for any event or activity you would like to run. From (at capacity) 350 people for an awards dinner, a conference venue or a company Christmas party in the Banqueting Hall, to a 6-person board meeting in the Thames Room. The River Room is ideal for drinks receptions or networking event and we cannot forget the Arches. For a more intimate or casual event, there are few spaces finer in central London (in our humble opinion).

2. People buy people

They say people buy people, so come and meet the people who are responsible for ensuring your events run smoothly and your guests have a great time. Whilst we may have invested heavily in the refurbishment, the building is no good without the people who run it. From your very first conversation with Noemi, or someone else in the Sales team through a tour with our Gary, to finalising room layouts and welcoming guests with Marcin, our team will do everything they can to deliver a perfect event for you.

3. Glaziers Hall is covid-safe

We are still not out of the woods, so everyone who comes into Glaziers Hall signs in and has their temperature checked. If there are future cases of Covid amongst our guests, we have the records needed to track others, so they can be tested. You can see more about what we have been doing here.

4. Add to your network

If you aren’t currently planning an event, but think you may in the coming months, come to one of our Thirsty Thursday events. Meet the team, have a tour of the hall and meet other people and expand your business network. you can book for our next event here.

5. See our wine cellar

We like our wine and we know a lot of our guests do too. Our wine cellar is always well stocked, so come and see it, either via the window from The Arches or, if Gary is feeling good, we can even get him to open the door!

6. The view of the Thames & the City

With the River Thames, literally, lapping up against our walls, many of our rooms have a great view over the Thames and the City. Look west towards St Paul’s Cathedral and Blackfriars for wonderful view on a sunny day. As the sun goes down and the lights go on, the view north towards the skyscrapers in the financial district are a site to see. As your eyes cross the river, the first building you see, all lit up, is Fishmongers Hall – great friends of ours.

If you are coming south to visit us, we are, of course, dwarfed by The Shard and looking east from our, aptly named, Bridge Room you cannot see very far, but you do get to study the detail of London Bridge’s architecture!

7. Because we are easy to get to

Whether you visit on the way to the office, or on the way home, our location just two minutes from London Bridge station means you have very little excuse. Blackfriars, Waterloo, Cannon Street and even Fenchurch Street aren’t far away, as well as lots of bus routes and underground stations. We even have a Santander Cycles station 150 yds away.

8. You can lunch next door

Whilst we don’t want to rush you around, you can easily visit during your lunch hour and still have time to grab something to eat. Borough Market is right next door, as are many fine restaurants, cafes and takeaways.

We hope these 8 reasons to visit Glaziers Hall are enough, but as we think of more reasons, we will expand this article, so please pop back once in a while – much like what we would like you to do with Glaziers Hall. To book a time to visit, call us on 020 7403 3300 or ring the bell if you are passing.

See you soon!
